• Guru is named a "Top 5 Tunic for Summer"...again!

    Posted by Guru NewYork

We just love reading about how much you love your tunics! I wanted to share just a couple of blog posts from this past summer season.  From Maryland over to Texas, the colors of Guru Linen Tunics are everywhere. Click on the images to view the whole posts! Thanks a bunch, ladies! The love continues in the "comments" section. First blog comes from giclee artists The Pink Pagoda, who spotted our tunic at our Dallas, TX retailer Nicholson-Hardie.

Our second feature comes from Maryland Pink and Green, a blog dedicated to travel, cooking, and fashion.  We are named a "Top 5 Tunic"! "Tunics seem to camouflage any figure flaws around the tummy and are appropriate in almost any setting from pool to party."

  • July Retailer Spotlight: One Fish Two Fish

    Posted by Guru NewYork

"One Fish Two Fish was always a dream for me. I longed to establish my own business as a way to be financially independent, provide a creative outlet and allow flexibility when raising my family. In 1998, I applied for a $5000 loan, took over the storefront, bought a computer, opened the doors to One Fish Two Fish and never looked back." -Jennifer Beaufait Grayson

This beautiful boutique, located in Savannah, Georgia, instantly envelopes you with its sea color palette and refined offerings.   One Fish Two Fish is also not a stranger to the press as it has been featured in countless magazines including Martha Stewart Living, Lucky, and Oprah At Home. Guru is now being offered for the first time at One Fish Two Fish.  We are excited about the seasons to come, and being included in Jennifer's absolutely breathtaking shop. If you find yourself in the historic city of Savannah, be sure to spend time browsing One Fish Two Fish's exquisite collections of home, clothing, and gifts. Also be sure to check them out on Facebook HERE. Guru's Turquoise Linen Tunic Top at One Fish Two Fish (right)

  • Debra Torres on Taigan

    Posted by Guru NewYork

Our friend and collaborator, Debra Torres, can now be found on Taigan.  Make sure to peruse through her vast collection of handmade men's and women's linen shirt and guayaberas! Congrats, Debra!
    Debra Torres
"I started my business designing guayaberas, because I wanted to breathe life into the classic shirt that I grew up with. That idea has evolved into an online store focused on casual attire and specializing in weddings. We carry our namesake brand of shirts, still made to order in New York City, and we also carry D'Accord guayaberas, which offer a classic style and fit. On our website you will find a range of price points and fabrics to cater to various budgets and style preferences. It is my goal to spread the word on the guayabera shirt, but more than that, to help people feel beautiful and confident on their wedding day and beyond." Guru can also be found on Debra Torres HERE.

  • Retailer Spotlight: L'Officina Home Interiors

    Posted by Guru NewYork

We are excited to begin a Retailer Spotlight series here on our Blog! Each month we will showcase one of our many wonderful retailers from around the country and the world. L'officina is a home interiors boutique and showroom across the pond in Lacarmo, Switzerland.  Click HERE to visit the website. Steering the helm of this beautiful location for fine linens, furnishings, events, and design is Greta Biasca-Caroni. Having studied at the art school for Interior Fantoni in Bergamo, Greta brings her decades of design experience to the products she chooses and to her business philosophy:
I wanted to create a fascinating place where opposites merge into a magical harmony. A place to unite tradition with the new and the simplicity with the 0ffbeat to interpret the style of elegant new homes in their personal and discreet luxury. And then mix silver and crystal, porcelain and pottery, linen and wool, paint and wood. I wanted to create a place that is a home - your home where one withdraws, familiarity and affection shared and is surrounded by beautiful. -Greta Biasca-Caroni

Guru is proud to be carried by such an elegant establishment, and very grateful to have L'officina and its customers in Switzerland as part of our Guru Community.
